About the event
Understanding the Teen Brain: Phones, Dopamine, and Motivation is hosted by Cowichan Valley Youth Services as part of their Parent Education Series. This interactive workshop unpacks why teens seem glued to TikTok or gaming but unmotivated elsewhere—through clear science on teenage brain development and dopamine hooks in social media. You'll get practical, non-judgmental strategies like phone-free zones, collaborative limits, and replacement rewards, plus a ready-to-try 1-week dopamine experiment for your family. Perfect for parents of tweens and teens seeking to fight less and connect more.
