Keynote: Conversations That Matter: Supporting Youth Safety Online
Whether you're a parent, caregiver, educator, coach, mentor, or other trusted adult, talking with young people about online risks can feel challenging. This presentation explores practical ways to discuss topics such as pornography, sexting, sexual extortion, gambling, and other digital challenges. Shannon Husk will explain how technology meets six basic human needs and share ideas for helping youth meet those needs in healthy offline ways. Participants will also learn strategies for creating technology boundaries and discover tools that support safer, healthier technology use.
Donations to support the Keynote presentation will be accepted at the door or can be made online at cvyouth.ca/donate
