Communication with Teens (Chemainus)
Wed, May 13
|Cowichan Neighbourhood House
Does your teen say things like “This is why I never tell you anything”, or is their most common answer “I don’t know”? If conversations with your teen feel shut down, confusing, or all too familiar, this workshop offers practical ways to understand them better and strengthen communication.

About the event
Learn Non-Violent Communication strategies to better engage with your teen. Learn to initiate a conversation, how to proceed without it exploding, and how to make your teen to hear what you have to say, moreover—how to get them to do chores and skip school less often. We will look at what all conversations are really about, how to hear and how to be heard, and how to talk about what really matters.
We honour the Quw’utsun peoples on whose traditional lands we gather.
Cost: Pay what you can. Suggested $5. Your contribution helps keep programs accessible for all families.
